From Samsung's perspective, wouldn't driving a smartphone chicken game be a good move?

‌If they are going to be in the red anyway due to memory, Samsung can offset the losses by relying on memory.
If they push hard and crush the Chinese companies,
it seems like they could buy some time for a while....
I'm uneasy because if things continue like this, it feels like Chinese companies will take over the smartphone market too.
