People going crazy over real estate posts in the bullpen. Are they just money-hungry?

‌They talk about how policies are this or that,
how green spaces should be this or that,
and how future generations are this or that...
But deep down, aren't they just filled with the desire to see their own home prices rise?
As you scroll through the comments,
they claim to support supply,
yet say "don't touch the green spaces"
and "don't build rental housing."
They want to keep the area around their own apartment complex untouched while reaping only the benefits of rising market prices.
It is so obvious that they are spitting out these words as if they were some noble policy convictions.
Take a good look at yourselves, pretending to fight for the public interest through your keyboards.
