There seem to be so many people buying homes around me lately

I was born in the 90s, and until now, I wasn't really paying attention to home buying, except for friends who received help from their families.
But it seems like people have realized that if they keep waiting, the "late fee" (rising prices) will only get higher, so there's an atmosphere of everyone buying at least one place—whether it's an old apartment or a small one—even if they have to scrape together every last penny.
All my close friends managed to buy a home somewhere within three months.
